We decided to try veggie burgers. They are juicy, of good taste, of good nutritional value and very easy to prepare.
To prevent the meal from ruining white flour pastries, we made keto pastries followed by a recipe.
Ingredients for keto pastry:
- 50 g of shredded psyllium flakes
- 200 g almond flour
- 1 bag of baking powder
- 1.5 teaspoon salt
- 325 ml of boiling water
- 2.5 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar
- 4 egg whites
- A handful of sesame seeds
Procedure:
- Mix all the dry ingredients except the sesame in a deep bowl, add the egg whites and vinegar and mix well until smooth.
- Then add boiling water to the mixture and mix with a mixer until you have a homogeneous, soft mixture (like softer plasticine).
- Preheat oven to 175 degrees.
- Before shaping the pastry, you can grease your palms a little with olive oil to keep the mixture from sticking.
- Form 6-8 rolls and place them on baking paper. Then sprinkle them with sesame seeds and put them in the oven.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes.
Vege burgers
Preparing the burger is really simple, you just need the mixture and water:
Ingredients:
- 100 g of veggie burger mix
- 100 ml of lukewarm water
Procedure:
- You just mix the mixture with 100 ml of lukewarm water, let it stand for ten minutes.
- Form burgers between your palms. To me this was the amount I made 2 burgers from.
- Place the burgers in the oven at 175 degrees for 10 minutes.
We put them on the same baking sheet, about ten minutes before the baked goods were done, so they were baked at the same time.
With the veggie burger, we put some lettuce, feta cheddar cheese, some tomatoes and onions in the pastry and for the zero carb ketchup juiciness.
